#9: Sun bed roulette

P&O Cruises | Oceana | 10 tips for first time travel

Cruise ships are a microcosm of society. In a confined space, you can expect to see all aspects of human behaviour on display. No other part of a cruise ship demonstrates this more than the open deck (Lido) area.

We may probably never understand the intricacies of using sun beds on cruise ships. However, we recommend familiarising yourself with your cruise ship’s etiquette and to be respectful of other passengers by not leaving your personal items on beds if you plan to be away for anything longer than 30 minutes.

HDYTI Tip: Explore your ship. Go ‘0ff-the-beaten-track’. Areas around the ship’s gym and spas may have less competition for deck chairs.
