If you’re visiting London, local to the city, or you’re simply hoping to try your luck at booking an igloo dining experience, here are eight places to consider.

Trying out our first igloo in London at the Coppa Club Tower Bridge, January 2017.

Three years ago we stumbled across a video promoting an igloo dining experience in London at Coppa Club, Tower Bridge. We promptly booked one to share with two other friends. Since then, we’ve tried to make reservations, but have been unsuccessful.

Thankfully, other restaurants have capitalised on the dining trend and have now launched their own versions of the addictive snow-like globes from budget to luxury experiences.

This year, we decided to research all of the venues offering igloo dining in London, and provide a comprehensive list with a few tips to hopefully give you a successful edge during the booking process.

#1 – Coppa Club Tower Bridge

This picturesque restaurant was the first venue to jumpstart the igloo dining trend in London. In fact, they’ve kept it up year-round with unique dining installations perched against the Thames River.

Despite all the pods being booked up through the end of January 2020, Coppa Club has one pod available for walk-in diners.

The walk-in igloo contains three small tables that can seat up to six semi-comfortably. Try your luck on a weekday during late breakfast hours, or after the busy lunch period.

Alternatively, you can peruse dates for any cancellations to see if you can get a confirmed table.

Located on the tenth floor of the Montcalm Royal London House, The Aviary mixes its gastropub style with the glamour expected of anything with ‘royal’ in its name.

The stunning panoramic city views come at a price, as igloo dining packages begin at £300. This price comes with seating for up to 10 people, and a £150 bar tab. Availability is limited.

Clad with twinkling fairy lights, this igloo is the only one on the list to feature a pan-Asian menu. Try dishes from a la carte menu, tasting menu or their chef select sharing menu.

Availability is limited from 20-27 December. However, a pre or post New Year’s Eve dinner might be exactly what you need to kick-off 2020 in style.

Will Igloo Dining in London Last?

The longevity of igloo dining in London remains to be seen. London offers a multitude of temporary dining pop-ups around the festive season, and the marketing surrounding these experiences has only increased as each year passes.

However, we’re so here for the (#ChristmasinLondon) vibes igloo dining evokes. Plus, who doesn’t love a good photo for the gram?
